Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers

Brazed plate heat exchanger is a kind of heat transfer equipment with highly compact structure and high heat transfer efficiency. It consists of a series of thin stainless steel metal plates with special corrugated shapes stacked on top of each other, and the corrugations of the adjacent plates cooperate with each other to form complex flow channels. The most critical feature is that it does not use the traditional rubber sealing gasket between the plates, but in the vacuum brazing furnace, the use of high temperature will be copper (or nickel) brazing material melting penetration into the plate contact point, to achieve the permanent, high strength metallurgical bonding of the plate stack.

In the brazed plate heat exchanger maintenance, to regularly check the temperature, pressure, flow and other parameters, once found abnormalities need to be dealt with in a timely manner; at the same time need to ensure that the water quality is qualified, through the addition of filters and regular cleaning, in order to prevent the emergence of scaling and clogging problems.

For minor fouling of the heat exchanger, low concentration of acid or alkali can be used for on-line cycle cleaning, the process needs to strictly control the time and temperature to prevent corrosion; at the same time, it is strictly prohibited to use mechanical violence to clean up, to avoid damage to the brazing structure.

In the brazed plate heat exchanger maintenance, to avoid vibration, freeze cracks and abnormal flow rate, long term out of service need to drain the internal fluid and keep it dry; if leakage or serious clogging occurs, it is not recommended to dismantle it by yourself, and it should be detected or replaced by professional personnel.
